Whitetail Preserve

118 Boulevard Road
570-384-2314

Whitetail Preserve was established in 1988 by six hunting enthusiasts after returning from a South Dakota pheasant hunt to recreate the shooting experience they had there by developing a continental style pheasant hunt. Since then, this has expanded. Today the Preserve offers guided field hunts for Pheasant, chucker or quail. Our Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clay fields are professionally designed and all stations are handicapped accessible. We at Whitetail take pride in the youth of our community. We support youth shooting, and work with children with special needs. With the aid of the Pennsylvania Biathlon Club we conduct events for Special Olympic contestants on a specially created rifle range and running course for track snowshoes and skis.

The Preserve has resident shooting instructors certified by the NRA in shotgun, rifle, pistol, home safety and personal protection in the home. Courses are offered throughout the year, call for details. Whitetail is home of Hazleton Area High School Shooting Club. Its members have been successive State Champions participating in the Scholastic Clay Target Program. This program includes grades 7 through 12 in all competition disciplines.
