At the Wilbur Watts Intermediate School, it is believed that respect for the worth and dignity of the individual is one of the highest of all values in a democracy. With the understanding that modern day education is concerned with the child as well as with courses of study and instructional materials, the program offered is designed to enable and encourage each individual to advance in accordance with his/her abilities and to meet the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. Our Whole School Reform process under SFA Reading and Everyday Math helps create a curriculum that promotes the successful achievement of these standards

We gather as a school community each day to pledge ourselves to our country, our school and our community. The Wilbur Watts Intermediate School provides a program conducive to good physical and mental health with activities such as band, chorus, (winter and spring concerts plus a student spring musical), student council, school newspaper, yearbook, intramurals, SWAT trips, Spelling Bee and a variety of school sponsored curriculum based trips. Students have been involved in various community service projects through Student Council and STARSERVE
