Wilkins School educates students in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4. Our curriculum at these grade levels encompasses Reading and Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. Students also participate in Physical Education, Music, Art and Library. Wilkins has an active technology program integrated into the curriculum in order to enhance student learning. An enrichment to the Reading and Writing program includes an annual visit from a children's author. Each year students write their own books which are "published" and displayed during the annual Writing Festival. The Curriculum Enrichment Program at Wilkins provides enrichment opportunities for all students, including a school newspaper, school store, participation in the Manchester Union Leader "Stock Market Contest," National Geographic Geography Bee, Junior Achievement, and special activities in math and science. Students have the opportunity to participate in NH Inventors, Destination Imagination, and Junior Great Books. Parent volunteers are very active in the school and the PTA provides enrichment activities and supplies through their fundraising efforts. Character and citizenship are important themes at Wilkins and are reinforced through the Guidance program and activities throughout the year.
