The Winnetka Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. The Foundation's purpose is to enrich and extend the community's recreational services beyond the means of conventional public funding.

The Foundation relies upon the commitment and participation of the residents of the Winnetka Park District and others to provide support and assistance for its mission.

Specifically, the Foundation solicits donations to:

• Assist in improvement and beautification of parks, facilities and playgrounds;

• Assist in maintaining the Winnetka Park District's highest program standards; and

• Assist in the acquisition and preservation of open space.

The Foundation operates independently of the Park District Board, but works to assists them in providing high-quality leisure activities for the residents of the District.
