Women Composers Festival of Hartford

Mission:

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford has, since 2001, provided a platform for the promotion of women’s music.  It introduces and educates audiences about the diversity of musical contributions by women from the Renaissance to the present.

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford embraces diversity of race, ethnicity, and ability.  The mission of the festival is to feature artists who identify as female, including transgender and gender-fluid individuals.  The festival is open to presentations from composers/performers/speakers who are willing to confront gender and other intersecting identities in their work.
