Mission Statement:

Fulfilling the great commission locally, in the state, in the US, and around the world.

About Us:

Woodlawn Baptist Church has an active Missions Committee. This committee is composed of a representative from each of the four mission organizations, Baptist Men, Women on Mission, RAs, and GAs and three members elected from the congregation. The goal of the Missions Committee is to lead Woodlawn Baptist Church to become an Acts 1:8 Church. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8. Our Jerusalem is Crestview, Judea is Florida, Samaria is the United States, and the ends of the earth is the rest of the world. The key to accomplishing this goal is praying for missions, giving to missions and going on mission trips.

The Woodlawn Baptist Church Budget includes support to various mission projects, including the SBC Cooperative Program, Okaloosa Baptist Association, Pioneer Missions, Camp Okaloosa and others. In addition to the regular budget Woodlawn promotes and receives offerings to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for Foreign missions, The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for home missions, the Maguire State Missions Offering, the Mother's Day Children's Home Offering, and the World Hunger Offering.

In past years, some members of Woodlawn have participated in mission projects and trips to carry the Gospel outside the walls of our church. The goal for next year is to increase our outreach in all areas and to involve more members of our congregation so that they might experience the joy of giving of themselves for local and global evangelism. Passion is that all of the world will worship Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
