Yonkers-East Yonkers Rotary Club

2192 Central Park Avenue

CLUB HISTORY

The  Rotary Club of Yonkers-East Yonkers was chartered in 1920.  In its current organization, it is the outcome of the merger of the Rotary Clubs of Yonkers and East Yonkers which was completed in June 2013.  We are Club No 5044, in Area 6 of District 7230 which comprises New York City, the Bronx, Staten Island, parts of Westchester and Bermuda.  Since its founding , our club has upheld the ideals and goals of the Rotary movement of Service above Self in our local, national and international spheres.

We are rooted in the community and will continue to support a wide range of activities in support of our community.  Our Literacy Project assists Yonkers elementary School students, while our Annual Community Breakfast event raises Funds for Food Pantries and local organizations. We are very active at the District Level, having provided the District Governor for 2013-2014 - Matts Ingemanson, as well as the District Governor for 2012-2013 - Greg Arcaro, from our Club.

The Club meets every Wednesday at 12:15 PM at Luciano's Restaurant, 2192 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10710 (Phone: 914-961-5550).  The last meeting of every month is an evening meeting at 6:15 pm at the same location.  We regularly have guest speakers.  Cost is $20, parking is FREE, and guests are always welcome.
