'1968: MAGNUM IN NEW YORK' PHOTO EXHIBIT FEATURED AT HISTORIC SI ALICE AUSTIN HOUSE 1968: Magnum in New York, a photo exhibit at Staten Island's Alice Austin House, includes images related to many of the 1968 history-changing events. Visitors can see photographs taken by prominent artists that capture the history, emotion and daily life of 1968 by coming to the former home of noted photographer Alice Austin – a charming 18th Century cottage and gardens which overlooks New York Harbor and offers breathtaking views of Manhattan. The exhibit contains thirty images by ten photographers including W. Eugene Smith, Bruce Davidson, Elliott Landy, and Elliott Erwitt. Magnum Photos is a photographic cooperative of great diversity and distinction owned by its photographer members. Take the S51 bus from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal to Hylan Boulevard.
