Description:
The City of Greenbelt is a suburb of Washington, D.C., located within Prince George's County, one of the largest and fastest growing counties in the country. Greenbelt is the intersecting point for four major highways, including the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and the Capital Beltway. As such, rapid access to much of the metropolitan area is available. A new station for the New York to Washington high speed Metroliner is located only two miles from the city. The Greenbelt METRO station provides rapid rail transit to Washington and is part of the METRO RAIL system. This area is served by 3 major airports, 2 which are located less than 30 minutes from Greenbelt.

There is a wide variety of housing located elsewhere in the city, but in the vicinity of original Greenbelt.
