Description:
Madison High School serves the community by helping young women and men reach their potential. We provide a broad curriculum within a dynamic learning environment which teaches our students to think creatively, to develop healthy lifestyles and to become productive and responsible members of society. We seek to recruit and retain a capable and effective faculty and administration who strive to inspire our students. Our graduates consistently exceed national academic norms.

Madison High School is an outstanding comprehensive high school of 766 students (grades 9-12) that has recently been praised by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools for providing "a rich, broad and diverse educational program" for its students. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs and abilities of all students with a variety of courses being offered. Each of the past three years has seen innovation in existing courses and the addition of new courses. Madison High School offers four World Languages (Spanish, French, German, & Italian), in addition to a full array of academic majors in English, History, Mathematics and Science. Eleven (11) Advanced Placement courses and many honors courses are available in most subject areas. Our Advanced Placement offerings are AP Literature & Composition, AP US History, AP Modern European History, AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science, AP Statistics, AP Spanish, AP French, AP German, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry.

Madison High School enjoys strong community support. It is not unusual for parents of our students to have graduated from Madison High School. They have a strong connection with the school and a respect for its tradition of academic excellence and strong sense of community. We are very fortunate to have many parents with special talents (often in the corporate world) that they enthusiastically share with the school. Madison High School also enjoys the benefits of our sending-receiving relationship with Harding Township, a nearby K-8 school district. Students from Harding and Madison become a cohesive class in their four years together and demonstrate the positive aspects of a true learning community. With the passing of a referendum on September 27, 2005, Madison High School will be adding additional space to the building in an effort to improve both curricular, extra-curricular and support services. We also continue to work on student performance objectives developed during the recent Middle States re-accreditation process: improve academic performance, improve communication skills, infusion of technology into the curriculum and increase student community service.
