Constantintonos Lovoulos, MD is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the UVM Medical Center and associate professor at the Larner College of Medicine. He treats a variety of conditions, including coronary artery disease, mitral valve and tricuspid, valve disease, thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection, and lung pathology. Special procedures he performs include high-risk and redo cardiac surgery; coronary artery bypass surgery (with, when feasible, bilateral in-situ internal mammary artery use); valve surgery, including mitral and triscupid valve repair; thoracic aortic surgery, including valve sparing aortic root replacement, aortic arch reconstruction, descending thoracic aortic repair, open and endovascular; and robotic thoracic surgery. His research interests are focused on aortic pathology.  Dr. Lovoulos believes each patient should be treated as though they were a relative, and that the treatment plan should be tailored and individualized in a way that would provide the best care that each patient requires, the first time.
