Additional testing includes thyroid function, office-based ultrasound and guided needle biopsy as needed. Through history review and physical examination, our team determines necessary tests to establish a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan. We also explain all available options and communicate regularly with patient’s primary care provider. If patient’s condition requires a surgical procedure, our physicians are credentialed to practice at Decatur Memorial Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and the Memorial Surgery Center in Decatur. Referrals are not necessary.
