Drag Show Party Spectacular Part 2: VDay Edition!

Feb 16, 2024 from 9:00 PM - 11:55 PM

The Future is Us will present the second iteration of our Drag Show Party Spectacular this February 16th in celebration of the (Re) Focus: Then and Now Exhibition. Throughout the night we will explore gender as performance with a line up of drag performance acts, music, and to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend, we’ll also host a queer speed dating hour.

(Re)Focus: Then and Now, along with its ancillary programming, provides a platform to celebrate historically underrepresented voices and features projects by primarily Philadelphia-based artists who are exploring ideas of gender identity, representation, marginalization, and empowerment in their contemporary studio practices.

DeliaDelia! The Flat Chested Witch! ///// Bon Bon Jovie Is Coming  9:30-10:30pm (doors at 9pm)

Double Bill!- Two shows for the price of no shows!

The NYC born and based clown Amando Houser is “particularly funny” (Vulture, NY MAG)  They are DeliaDelia! The Flat Chested Witch! She isn’t female but she does use she/her pronouns. She will defy all expectations and will go to ridiculous lengths to try to fit in— even if it kills her.

Betty Smithsonian is a clownsultant, free lance clown (New York Times), and hated by anti-vaxers though she sort of loves this credit. She is best of Philly comedians 2019, and her experimental comedy kink has brought her fame and almost no fortune. She will share all the joy balls even if it kills you.

Tickets are pay what you wish with all the money going directly to the artists!
