We are having a 50th Mountain Fair and the music and entertainment are going to be very special in this golden year. We are bringing back some of the favorite acts from previous years, sprinkled with some new music to ensure there is a little something for everyone!
Featuring more than 25 musicians and entertainers throughout the weekend
3:00: Come One, Come All to The Launchpad in Carbondale to be a part of the 50t_Year Procession into Sopris Park. Calling all youth, young at heart, stilt walkers, drummers and more!
3:30pm: Parade Starts
Native American dancer and storyteller Larry Yazzie will lead local kids in a dance demonstration to start the drum circle at 4pm on Friday, July 23rd. Participating kids perform as part of the Dance Initiative/Carbondale Clay Center Native Art and Dance summer camp.
4:00pm: Fair Opens

4:00: Oasis Carnival Opens! - Oasis
Tickets are good for: big and small bounce house, craft stations and a photo booth.

5:00: Native American Music and Dance - Oasis
Experience the artistry of Larry Yazzie (Meskwaki) as he performs movements passed down by his ancestors through song and dance. Champion Powwow Men's Fancy Dancer, an Eagle Dancer, a Native American Flutist.
5:00: Sontres - Bandwagon
Salsa music up close and personal. Starting on Main Street and traveling towards Snowmass Drive via Second Street, hitting Garfield Apartments and ending back on Main Street.
5:00 - 6:30: Let Them Roar
A local’s favorite, Let Them Roar is a powerful, genre-defying band that weaves a tapestry of mountain folk from threads of tradition, inspired by the beauty of their home in the Elk Mountains of Western Colorado. For the last 10 years, this group of talented friends has been pushing creative boundaries while growing into their mission and purpose: to be in service to the power of music to heal, connect, and inspire audiences. This will be their final appearance as a band so expect a special performance filled with energy and love.
7:45 - 9:30pm: Tierro Band with Bridget Law
Featuring founding members of Elephant Revival, Kan'Nal, and Jyemo Club. Arriving on a floating carpet powered by a magical genie, the sound of Tierro Band is an oasis for lovers of live exotic dance and world improvisation. The ethnic flavors of tabla and sitar spice up the danceable backbeat as guitars and violins intertwine layers of alluring melodies from distant lands.
