On August 13th, 2023 this world lost one of its brightest lights, Scranton local Glenn Knott. Glenn was a combat Army veteran who selflessly served his country on the front line during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Even after separating from the military, Glenn continued to give himself to others. He was employed as a Social Worker at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center for many years prior to his death. All those who knew Glenn during his 35 years on earth considered themselves “lucky”. He was so well-loved, admired, and respected by everyone he crossed paths with. Glenn’s unexpected passing is felt by so many, including his wife of ten years, Ashley, and seven-year old son, Logan.

To honor Glenn’s memory and keep the goodness of his spirit alive, this inaugural event was created. All monetary proceeds will be donated to PA Wounded Warriors, a Pennsylvania-based organization that provides emergency financial assistance to Veterans and their families in crisis. They have assisted over 17,000 PA Veterans in need, including countless Veterans in our NEPA region.
