The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) is hosting the evidence-based Kidney Personal Action Toward Health (Kidney PATH) program starting with this information session on Tuesday, September 17 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Designed for people at any stage of chronic kidney disease, with kidney failure, on dialysis, or living with a kidney transplant. Caregivers are encouraged and welcome. The interactive workshop will be held on Tuesdays at the same time and place from September 24 through November 19. Certified leaders to help participants engage in a healthier, more enjoyable life. The series is no-cost.
Kidney PATH focuses on the following:
-managing everyday activities with an action plan
-understanding fluid restrictions and dialysis
-controlling symptoms and decreasing stress
-communicating effectively with loved ones and health care providers
-increasing energy and improving overall health
-becoming an advocate for yourself
-asking a panel of experts about kidney disease
