Join us at Arts Mid-Hudson located at 696 Dutchess Turnpike, Suite F in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 pm for a book signing and poetry reading featuring Stanley Moss and Greg Miller.
Stanley Moss was born in Woodhaven, New York in 1925. He was educated at Trinity College (Connecticut) and Yale University and makes his living as a private art dealer, specializing in Old Masters. As a child he visited Europe and the Levant with his family, and after serving in World War II he taught English in Barcelona and Rome, where he became familiar with the religious and mythical figures that appear in his work. In 1977 Moss founded Sheep Meadow Press, a nonprofit press devoted to poetry, with a particular focus on international poets in translation. His webpage is https://www.stanleymoss.com
Greg Miller was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky in 1957. He grew up in Kentucky and studied French literature and political science at Vanderbilt University, with a year of study in Paris. He earned an MA in English and creative writing from Stanford University and a PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley. A professor emeritus of English at Millsaps College, Miller currently lives in Poughkeepsie, New York. His webpage is https://gregmillerpoetry.com
