Dolores Croneberger: A Community Role Model

All Hero Nominee AmericanTowns Hero

Dolores Croneberger has been a member of her local rotary club for more than 20 years, but why stop there with her contributions to the community? She also volunteers with the Little Flower Food Pantry as part of the Little Flower Rosary Society and she is a member of the Women's Club, the Senior Citizen's Club and the Chamber of Commerce and Archives Committee. Over the years she has been active in various projects as a member and past president of the rotary club and she has also volunteered her time as a Den Mother for the local Scouts. Dolores was recently honored at a Good Scout Award Dinner that highlights the people who "live the Scout Oath and Law" and while the exact wording of the oath has changed over the years, the focus is on doing your best and service to others. In being honored, Dolores joked that if you live long enough in a community, you're bound to win an award for something, but also shared that she "had a desire to be involved in everything" and really loves where she's lived for 64 years. The mayor was on hand to thank the award recipients and give credit to scouting programs for helping keep children engaged with positive activities and role models who help make their town a better place to live. Do you know someone who is active in the community? Someone who really enjoys giving back to the town or city they live in? Nominate them for next week's AmericanTown's Hero.
