Curator Talk with Hoss Haley

Learn more about LOOK AGAIN as the AAAC hosts a Curator Talk with Hoss Haley Thursday, May 22 from 6:00-7:00pm. Hoss Haley is a conceptually focused American sculptor and painter creating and residing in Asheville, North Carolina. Haley will discuss his inspiration for LOOK AGAIN, which encourages people to see materials in a different light, highlighting artists working with byproducts of our contemporary society including plastic grocery bags, tin cans, wood, and scrap metal.

Kids Tixx Program:
Ensuring Access to the Arts

The Asheville Area Arts Council's Kids Tixx program provides access to wonderful cultural experiences not always in the budget for some of Buncombe County's families, while also supporting our local arts presenters! The Asheville Area Arts Council is currently offering Kids Tixx to The Emergency Circus! presented by Toy Boat Community Art Space. (doors open at 7:00 show starts at 7:30)

Superhero costumes encouraged! The show features members of Asheville's Runaway Circus, as well as circus artists from across the country including America's Got Talent Finalists Special Head, AKA Danny Wolverton, and the levitating magician!

If you or someone you know may be interested in receiving free tickets to a upcoming event, performance, museum exhibition, or concert, through Kids Tixx please complete our online form, or stop by the Asheville Area Arts Council, 346 Depot Street for information. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis until all Kids Tixx are all claimed.
