Each year, Bainbridge Island celebrates the Fourth of July with four concurrent days of events. Shop at our famous rummage sale, enjoy world-class art, peruse fairs, ogle vintage cars, watch baseball games, literally dance in the street, and enjoy an old-fashioned heart-warming Hometown Parade.

Schedule of Events

July 1, 2022

5pm - 8pm: Rotary Auction Preview at Woodward Middle School
Check out the inventory, ask questions, plan your Sale-Day shopping strategy - Preview Night is the opportunity to identify the bargains you'd like to get the next day at the Auction & Rummage Sale.

5pm - 8pm: First Friday Art Walk at Downtown / Winslow Way
On the first Friday of every month, downtown Bainbridge Island's Art Walk features galleries, studios, museums, shops, and restaurants showcasing the creative talent found in our growing art scene.

5pm - 9pm: Moonlight Market at Town Square
Great music. Craft food & libations. Grab a friend and join us at the Town Square lawn at City Hall.

July 2, 2022

8am - 2pm: Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale at Woodward Middle School
Imagine over 6 acres filled with garage sale items, with all net proceeds going back to our local community and beyond! Wonderful stuff at bargain prices, and tons of fun.

10am - 2pm: Bainbridge Island Farmers Market at Town Square At City Hall
Today the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market hosts over 40 local vendors, including farmers, food vendors, and crafters with artisan-made goods.

7pm - 8:30pm: Chris Kattan - BHS Class Clown of 1989 Coming Home Show at Lynwood Theater

July 3, 2022

Noon - Stars & Strikes Old Timers Game at High School Baseball Fields
The "Old Timer's" Baseball Game is a 4th of July tradition with proceeds benefiting our BHS team. Alumni players put on a spirited game for our community.

5:45pm - 6pm: Creative District Launch at Winslow Way / Downtown (Main Stage)
It's official! Bainbridge has been approved as a WA Creative District. The Creative Districts Program certification bolsters creative economy, enhances vitality, and improves livability.

6pm - 11pm: Street Dance at Winslow Way / Downtown
There will be Dancing in the Streets. On July 3rd the Street Dance returns to Winslow Way!

6pm - 11pm: Street Fair at Winslow Way / Downtown
The streets are not just for dancing tonight! Enjoy offerings from food vendors, food trucks, and more!

6pm - 11pm: Beer and Wine Garden at Winslow Way / Downtown
Enjoy beer from our local vendors, Bainbridge Brewing and Fletcher Bay Winery!

6pm - 9pm: Kids Zone at Downtown / Winslow Way
Bring your kids to the Kid Zone, sponsored by our local children's museum, KiDiMu!

July 4, 2022

8am - 2pm: Pancake Breakfast at T&C - West Parking Lot
Enjoy fresh pancakes to get your Fourth of July day started right!

9am - 11am: BYS Family Fun Run at Island Fitness South Parking Lot
Kick off the 4th of July with Fun and a Run: The BYS Fun Run is back for in-person fun running! The 43 year tradition continues!

9am - 1pm: Car Show at Behind Columbia Bank
Drive on in to the 2022 Grand Old 4th car show!

9am - 5pm: Grand Old Fourth Street Fair at Bjune Dr & Brien Dr
The street fair features approximately 100 booths of arts and crafts, food, information, nonprofit organizations, children's games and amusements!

10am - 5pm: Live Music Stage at T&C West Parking Lot
Live music above Bjune Drive in the T&C parking lot will entertain and delight throughout the day while visiting enjoying the Car Show, Street Fair vendors, and Beer & Wine Garden.

11am - 5pm: Beer & Wine Garden at Waterfront Park
Enjoy beer from our local vendors, Bainbridge Brewing and Eleven winery!

1pm - 3pm: Grand Old Fourth Hometown Parade at Madison Ave & Winslow Way
Join us for the mile-long Grand Old Fourth Hometown Parade. There are typically over 100 participants that are sure to keep you entertained!

9am - 5pm: Kids Zone at Waterfront Park
Bring your kids to the Kid Zone, sponsored by our Marshall Suites!

10am - 4pm: Bainbridge Island Photo Club 4th of July Exhibit at Senior / Community Center
BIPC holds their annual print exhibit of members' photos; the public is invited to vote on their 5 favorite photos, and the winners will be displayed for the rest of the month!
