Welcome to Cincinnati Opera's 2024 Summer Festival at Music Hall! Enjoy unforgettable moments of classical grandeur and contemporary creativity—from the seductive melodies and thrilling drama of Mozart's Don Giovanni to the timeless tale of love and sacrifice in Verdi's La Traviata, to a musical journey like no other with our world stage premiere of Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio.

The mainstage season is enhanced by an expanded selection of our popular Studio Sessions. These cabaret-style performances feature our world-class artists up-close-and-personal in the wonderfully intimate setting of Wilks Studio at Music Hall. Leading up to the season, there's an engaging variety of free educational and community programs including Opera Raps and fan-favorites Opera Goes to Church!, Back to the Zoo, Opera in the Park, plus a suite of engaging events created by our Young Professionals.

Mozart's riveting masterpiece follows Don Giovanni (aka Don Juan), a man who uses people without a care for their hearts, or the consequences. But will his unbridled quest for pleasure come back to haunt him?

8:00 p.m. - Studio Sessions: Jacqueline Echols Mccarley

Before her mainstage appearances in Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio, Jacqueline Echols McCarley takes audience members on an inspiring journey through some of the music that has shaped her, including sacred songs, spirituals, and hymns, as well as classical, gospel, and jazz, in the wonderfully intimate Wilks Studio.

8:00 p.m. - Studio Sessions: Elliot Madore

After starring in Cincinnati Opera's season-opening production of Mozart's Don Giovanni, world-renown baritone Elliot Madore weaves together an autobiographical evening of song. Through stories and music, Madore will illuminate the contrast between his everyday life as a middle-aged man with his chaotic, exhilarating, and sometimes exasperating career as an international opera singer.

8:00 p.m. - Studio Sessions: Jessica Rivera

GRAMMY-winning soprano Jessica Rivera, who appears as Donna Elvira in Cincinnati Opera's season-opening production of Don Giovanni, returns to perform “Canciones de Mi Alma Latina: Songs of My Latin Soul,” featuring music by Osvaldo Golijov, Fernando Obradors, Manuel de Falla, Antonio de Salazar, and Federico Moreno Torroba, as well as operatic favorites by Puccini and Mozart.
