Belmont Seeks Applicants to Serve on the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District

The Belmont City Council is seeking applications from interested residents to serve as its representative on the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District. This recruitment ends on Nov. 18, 2022, 5 p.m.

The San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District Board of Trustees consists of twenty-one members, one from each city and one representative for the County at-large. Trustees are appointed by their respective City Council to govern the Mosquito and Vector Control District knowledgeably and effectively. They serve for a term of two or four years and are highly dedicated to this community service. The regular board meetings are held on the evening of the second Wednesday of each month, at the District Office in Burlingame.

To apply for an opportunity to make a contribution to your community, fill out the application form available on the website at https://www.belmont.gov/our-city/city-government or from the Clerk’s Office, One Twin Pines Lane, Belmont (appointments recommended) and return it to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022.

Applicants must live in Belmont. Except for a small stipend paid to Planning Commissioners, there is no compensation for these positions. It should be noted that incumbents are eligible to apply for reappointment.
