Upcoming Downtown Events with Road Closures

Due to COVID-19 and the current guidelines from Santa Clara County and the State of California, events may be canceled or postponed. Please check with event organizers for further details.

Morgan Hill Farmers Market  - Ongoing 

This event takes place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Train Station parking lot at 3rd Street and Depot Street in downtown Morgan Hill. The parking lot is closed for the event, there is not an additional road closure.

Sidewalk Saturdays - September 10, 2022 - November 26, 2022

This event takes place Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on East 3rd Street in downtown Morgan Hill. Dates include September 10 - November 26, 2022. There are no road closures for this activity. 

Morgan Hill Police Department Hosts Downtown Community Cleanup - October 8, 2022

Morgan Hill Police Department is proud to partner with members of Community Christian to conduct a Downtown community clean-up event. The event is open to the public, regardless of religious beliefs. There are no road closures for the event.

Live Oak High School Homecoming Parade - October 8, 2022

Live Oak High School will host their Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 12 noon to 1:00pm. There are no road closures for this event, however, MHPD will be assisting with traffic control at major intersections and as needed. The route is from Live Oak High School along Main Avenue. South on Monterey Road toward Dunne Avenue, returning North on Monterey Road toward Main Avenue and back to Live Oak High School. 

Morgan Hill Downtown Association Safe Trick or Treat 

This event is scheduled for Monday, October 31, 2022 in downtown Morgan Hill. Monterey Road between Main Avenue and East Dunne Avenue will be closed between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Traffic control will be in place. The parking garage will remain open for parking with access from Depot Street. 

Veteran's Day Run 

This event is scheduled for Sunday, November 6, 2022 beginning and ending in downtown Morgan Hill. There are no road closures scheduled for this event. However, there may be traffic delays as participants cross Monterey Road at Main Avenue, and at 1st Street. This event is hosted by Independence Day Celebration, Inc. 

Holiday Lights Parade and Tree Lighting

This event is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022 in downtown Morgan Hill. The parade will stage on Depot Street and will proceed down Monterey Road from 1st Street to the Community and Cultural Center. Road Closures will begin at 4:00 p.m. and streets will reopen by 9:30 p.m. Road closures will be in place at Depot Street, Monterey Road, and all side streets between Depot and Monterey Road, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Streets. The parking garage will be open for parking. Entrance and Exit from the parking garage will not be available from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. when the parade is taking place. This event is hosted by Kiwanis Morgan Hill. 

St. Catherine Church Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession

This event is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2022. There are no road closures for this event, but there may be traffic delays as the procession moves from the Community and Cultural Center through downtown to St. Catherine Church on Peak Avenue.
