July 26, 2014From: Madeira City Schools
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Weslie Ostendorf as the interim Principal of Madeira Middle School for the 2014-15 school year. Mrs. Ostendorf replaces Mr. Rob Kramer who recently accepted an administrative position with Lakota Schools.
Mrs. Ostendorf has over 10 years experience as an administrator, most recently serving as Director of Student Services for Wyoming City Schools. During her career she has also served as a special education teacher and assistant principal for Milford Schools. Mrs. Ostendorf received both her Bachelor's Degree and her Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Mrs. Ostendorf is a long time resident of Madeira and has served the district in a number of ways, including the Madeira Schools Planning Commission, Madeira Schools Foundation, and the Residents for Madeira Schools. In addition, her two children are both graduates of Madeira High School.
We looked at various options to fill this key administrative position, however, given the close proximity to the beginning of the school year, we felt it best to appoint an interim principal. I'm confident Mrs. Ostendorf will be able to quickly step in and help continue our tradition of excellence.
We will begin our search for a permanent replacement after January 1, 2015.
In the meantime, I invite you to help me welcome Mrs. Ostendorf to the Madeira Schools family!
