Great News for the James Brice House Restoration!

Historic Annapolis is delighted to share that we have been awarded a $500,000 grant by the National Park Service and their Semiquincentennial Grant Program to support the state-of-the-art restoration happening at the James Brice House!

Funds will support the restoration of all 74 original windows throughout the Brice House, which will help advance our efforts to open the building to the public in time for the nation's semiquincentennial. HA is one of two Maryland organizations to receive an award from the program.

You can read HA's press release here, and the NPS press release here.

Mr. Paca's Garden Summer Storytime
Saturday, August 27

MPBY

It's a special summer Mr. Paca’s Garden Storytime! Enjoy reading fun and activities in the William Paca Garden, a secret treasure in the Historic District of Annapolis. Each program is designed for little ones (3-7 years) with a book reading, song, craft/art project, and garden time.

This Session's Book: We Planted A Tree
In We Planted a Tree, we learn of families across the globe planting trees. Each newly-planted tree grows up, as the children in the family do. Through the seasons, the trees grow beautiful pink blossoms, green leaves that help clean the air, and fruit, while their roots keep the soil from blowing away and provide a place for families to plant food and celebrate the connections between plants and people. Crafts, songs, and a visit to the beautiful trees in Mr. Paca’s Garden will follow.

Registration recommended; space is limited.
Time: Program, 10 - 11 am; Garden Time, 11 - 11:30 am
Location: William Paca House & Garden, 186 Prince George Street
Cost: $10 per Child and $5 per Adult for General Admission; $8 per Child and Free for Adults for HA Members and Military; $5 per Child and Free for Adults for Family Circle Members
