Mandalas: Pain Management Through Art - A Hands On Workshop at The Brookfield Library

Schools and Libraries

March 8, 2013

From: Brookfield Library

There are still openings for the Mandala Workshop. Please note that this is not just a class for adults. Children and teens who are dealing with physical and/or emotional pain are welcome to attend.

Margot Saraceno, a local artist and member of a healing art group in Newtown, Authentic Voice, will lead this workshop in creating mandalas.

The Mandala is known for its balancing and restorative potential, and designing and creating mandalas helps one to focus on areas of life that are causing stress and creating pain--whether physical and/or emotional pain. Creating mandalas can help one move on to the possibility of healing.

Registration is required for this free program--please register by calling the library or registering online.
Participants are asked to bring a sharp pencil and a drawing compass. All other materials will be provided.

Date: Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Time: 2 -4 p.m.

Location: The Brookfield Library.
