"We are welcoming everyone to come see our model suites and get a true sense of the Avanti experience. We are excited to showcase the timeless hospitality, revolutionary design, savvy use of technology and boutique-style ambiance that embodies Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park," said Tim Hekker, CEO of Avanti Senior Living. "Seniors and their families may enjoy a tour of the models, as well as learn more about our lifestyle options, concierge services, upscale amenities and the community features which set us apart. After the grand opening, and beginning on April 29, the models will be available for viewing Monday through Saturday by appointment. When visitors tour our models, they will see how we are redefining aesthetics for architecture and interior design by embracing chic, luxurious design, convenient technology, natural lighting and vibrant artwork that will engage residents' senses in numerous ways."

The community will provide 50 assisted living and 40 memory care suites, a state-of-the-art wellness center with ballet barre and fitness equipment, a theatre area and a full-service salon and spa offering relaxation therapy, aromatherapy, hair styling, manicures and pedicures. The 77,000-square-foot community will also offer a fully-functional art studio with an abundance of natural light and a stone wall on which the residents can display their artwork. The community and resident suites will boast plush carpets, wood flooring, plentiful windows, walk-in closets, oversized showers, stone countertops, upgraded finishes, expansive countertops and storage space as well as other signature features.

"Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park will open in June, and we cannot wait to begin welcoming new residents," said Lori Alford, COO of Avanti Senior Living. "We will elevate industry standards by focusing on personalization and choice, as opposed to making residents conform to a one-size-fits-all schedule. Our goal is to empower residents so they can live the life they want to live in a community that is evocative of a posh, resort-style hotel."

Throughout Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park, natural light will be optimized by incorporating an abundance of windows, which serve as picturesque glimpses into other areas, providing varying perspectives, both indoor and outdoor. When choosing artwork for the community, Avanti is moving away from the typical paintings of empty rocking chairs, empty boats and landscapes to more abstract work, such as photo realism, black and white photography, Plexiglas, metal prints, blown glass and wall sculptures that provide depth and texture. The artwork and accessories will be safe, mature and inspirational.

Sensory technology is a considerable component of Salize, where the community's memory care suites are located. To reduce residents' anxiety by cuing them to the changing phases of the day, the community will play soothing music and use sensory lighting associated with morning, day and night in residents' suites and throughout the community. Sensory boards built into handrails in the hallways will help residents navigate throughout Salize and provide sensory stimulation as well. Salize is designed with open spaces, short hallways, no blind corners and special lighting to reduce apprehension, confusion and the feeling of being overwhelmed.

"Every part of the design process is critical to helping us bring our vision to life and achieve our goals," said Alford. "Avanti's name means 'forward' in Italian, and we are forward-thinking. From sensory lighting and technology in memory care to RFID resident wristbands for keyless entry into their suites, we are creating a culture that emphasizes personal choice. Our community will preserve resident dignity, while also delivering world-class care. We are eager to open our doors and feel privileged to serve seniors in and around the Shenandoah area. We do not simply provide senior housing; we are creating senior housing with attitude."

In addition to Avanti Senior Living at Vision Park, Avanti currently has communities in development or under construction in The Woodlands and Flower Mound, Texas, as well as Covington and Lafayette, Louisiana. Plans are underway to expand into Arizona as well.
