Sunday, December 29, 2013 is the last day the Tanner House will be open for the holiday season. The historic 1857 mansion is decorated by 8 local designers in various styles.
Visitors can vote for their favorite room, choosing from themes as diverse as the Aurora Country Club's 100th anniversary, a child's Christmas dream, and horse-related memorabilia from the pioneer Huntoon family.
Hours are 1-4pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for students. Children under 12 and Aurora Historical Society members are free. The house is located at 304 Oak Avenue, at the corner of Cedar and Oak. See www.aurorahistory.net for more information.
