AUSTIN, TX - Following Donald Trump’s agenda for another term, 80% of House Republicans – including MAGA Monica De La Cruz – released a budget yesterday that would gut Social Security and Medicare, rip away healthcare, ban abortion, and threaten access to IVF nationwide. In response, Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa released the following statement: 

“MAGA Republicans are showing us exactly what could happen if Donald Trump gets another term: a national ban on abortion, threats to IVF access, healthcare protections ripped away from millions of Texans with preexisting conditions, and Social Security and Medicare slashed for Texas seniors. This is Trump’s plan for Texans – and Republicans like Monica De La Cruz are laying out their extremely unpopular MAGA blueprint line by line. MAGA’s catastrophic plan to raise costs and destroy our freedoms emphasizes just how much is at stake in this election, and this November, Texans will make sure Trump and MAGA Republicans never get the chance to turn this budget into reality.”
