July 4th Celebration

Come show your patriotism when HPRD and Birkdale Village hosts the 9th Annual 4th of July Celebration on Thursday July 4th, 2013. Activities will take place in Birkdale Village from 10am-1pm. We will have decorations for the children's bikes to get them ready for the parade, face painting, water fight between the fire stations, music, food, and a whole lot more.
Admission and Parking are FREE!

Ralph Lambert Senior Softball League

The Ralph Lambert Senior Softball League of Lake Norman Huntersville and Cornelius Parks and Recreation Departments will be offering a fall Softball League in the Lake Norman area again this year. The fall softball league is for adult's age 50 and better (unless grandfathered in). There will be two divisions of play, competitive and recreational. Games will be played on Wednesday nights and will consist of a ten game regular season with an end of the season tournament.
Registration July 1- July 26
Skills Day/Players Meeting: July 27; 9:00am 
Waymer Park, Huntersville.
Cost: $30 res $45 non res

Senior Adult Basketball Open Gym

Recreational open gym for men & women age 50+ of all levels to come out to play, socialize and have fun!
Wednesday evenings June 19th- August 14th
Free / Huntersville Elem. Gym / 6-9pm

SABIC Community Work Day at North Meck Park!

We would like to give a big THANK YOU to the group that volunteered at NMP last Friday to paint the climber, put sand in the sand box, pressure wash the bleachers at the tennis courts and lay a lot of mulch!
SABIC has Adopted NMP for 2013 and will be visiting the park once a quarter to help our crew keep it clean for the community!
