(Westfield, NJ)The Westfield Community Players are proud to sponsor a special benefit performance for the Wounded Warrior Project. WCP's purpose is to acknowledge the exceptional and far-reaching efforts of the Wounded Warrior Project which honors and empowers injured veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Half the proceeds of ticket sales for the Friday, January 16 performance of "Almost Maine" will be donated to the Project.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a service organization that offers programs and services to severely injured service members following the events of September 11, 2001. It works to raise the public's awareness and assistance to meet the needs of these men and women. It also reaches out to help their family members.

Almost, Maine, a comedy by John Cariani, is part of the Westfield Community Players 2014-2015 season. It takes place in a remote, almost mythical, town where the northern lights play a role in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Ticket price is $20.00 and can be reserved by calling the box office at 908-232-1221. You can also reserve tickets by visiting: http://www.westfieldcommunityplayers.org/WCP_AlmostMaine_tickets.html. Military personnel pay half price at all times. Curtain time is 8:00 pm. The theater is located at 1000 North Avenue in Westfield, NJ.

The Westfield Community Players urge all our patrons to come to the theatre on January 16 and fill the seats in support of this most worthy benefit event. This is a good opportunity to express our gratitude to the men and women of the armed forces.
