About Us

Millbrae Bible Church was birthed from the Vision of two women who met to pray on Oct 8th, 1951. Over the next month, ten others met with them to pray. The first service was held at the American Legin Hall Dec. 16 with 29 present. Dr. Richard Cramer, president of the San Francisco Baptist Colege, offered his assistance to help the newly forming church and subsequently became the first pastor. By May 1952, the church was incorporated as Milbrae Baptist Church with 47 charter members. In June of that year the present properly was purchased for $13,000. The present facility was built in three phases. Fellowship hall was completed in September 1956. The administrative wing was dedicated by the end of 1959. Finally the present sanctuary housed services on March 23rd, 1969.

During the ministry of Dr. Steve Farrar in early 80's, the church changed its name from Millbrae Bapist Church to Millbrae Bible Church. There was no change in doctrine and the church has remained true to its sign in the front yard. "CENTERED IN GODS WORD". At its heigth the church drew 300 for morning worship services. Because of a series of problems the church declined to an attendance of about 30. The faithful few held firm to their ministry vision and it has experienced resurrection. A series of interim and part-time pastors began to build the chruch in preparation for its siginificant growth over the past few years.
