8th Annual Pancakes for a Purpose

The 8th Annual Pancakes for a Purpose will be held at BlackFinn in Ballantyne Village on February 24th, to raise money in support of pancreatic cancer research.  This event is held in memory of Dave Anstadt, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2002.  In addition, it is also in memory of John Bradley, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2014.  This year's event is sponsored by Ron Rivera and Blackfinn!  Great items will be available for raffle, including autographed Panthers items donated by Ron Rivera.

We'll be celebrating Dave's birthday by eating pancakes with family, friends, and the community while raising money to fight the disease that took Dave's life.  Dave was only 43 when he died and he left me (his wife) and two children (8 and 5 at the time) behind.  We wanted to find a way to help defeat this nasty disease while remembering Dave at the same time - a pancake breakfast seemed to be a good fit.  Dave would often cook pancakes on the weekends and enjoyed eating them too!
