It’s the sweetest time of year at the 4-H Education Center at Auerfarm in Bloomfield! Families are invited to a Pancake Breakfast and Maple Sugaring open house. During the open house, take a self-guided walk to see how the maple trees are tapped. Then it's off to the sugarhouse to see the evaporation process where the sap turns to syrup. Enjoy a warm pancake with real maple syrup and tour the new classrooms. The open house runs from 9:00-11:00 am and costs $10/person or $15/family.
Additionally, the education center will host two sit down Pancake Breakfasts at either 12:30 or 3:30 pm. These will be limited to 30 people per breakfast session. This formal meal comes complete with carving stations, as well as guided tours of the maple trees and sugarhouse. Participants can also sit by the fire or explore the farm. The cost is $25/person.
