Little River HC&EDC / Global Economic CDC/Turtle Cheep HATS and STOP! Safety First, presents its second annual Hands Across the Sands gathering on August 4 between 11 AM and 2 PM. We will be providing ecological, pollution prevention, marine wild life awareness, and water safety education, prior and post gathering. We will gather on the southeast side of the park, behind the doggy park area. To educate and provide information, about water safety, saving our beautiful beaches, endanger marine wild life and to take a stand and join hands, against offshore oil drilling and for clean energy, at exactly 12 noon, facing east, along the beachfront. Come and share your songs, poems, and positive thoughts. Please wear something white or clothing with marine animal images or other accessories to show support. DIRECTIONS to the park, depending where you are coming from, north or south, the park is on an Island. If coming from Collins Ave from south Miami Beach ,Village of Haulover/Bal Harbour, or the North Miami-123rd Street Crossway. Go north on AIA, until crossing the bridge and then immediately turn right at the first light into the park. If coming from the north, take SR-A1A, or 163rd Street Crossway, all the way to Sunny Isle and then make a right turn at the last light on A1A. Go south for about a mile and a half, until you see the Kite trailer and take the last entrance to the park on the right hand side before the bridge heading south to Bal Harbour Shops. Once in the parking lot, go south alone the Marina until you get to the parking Attendant-parking is $6. per car. We encourage car-pooling or Metro Transit.
