John Winthrop Middle School has just completed a total renovation of the physical facility. All areas of the building have been completely refurbished. The athletic fields were upgraded several years ago, so with the building renovation we have a new campus for our students and public to use and enjoy.
The middle school has a student population of 350 students in grades seven and eight. We use a teaming model with two academic teams per grade providing direct academic instruction to our students. Each team has a special education teacher to assist students with instruction. A guidance counselor services each grade and "loops" with the students for the two years they are at the middle school.
The staff and administration are extremely proud of our school. We strive to promote academic excellence and to maintain a high standard of conduct and learning for our students.
