The mission of the people of God known as Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church is to glorify God, therefore we will strive to know Christ, build His church and make Him known to all people as we continue to seek His will.
We believe this mission can be fulfilled through worship, the study of God’s word, evangelism and compassion.
We are a body of believers committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. As an Original Free Will Baptist Church, we join with likeminded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world.
Marsh Swamp is a church with a great past, an exciting present and a glorious future. The church is located 6 miles west of Wilson off Highway 42 in the Rock Ridge Community.
The church offers a variety of opportunities for ministry to people of all ages. We have Sunday School classes for nursery through senior citizens. We offer programs for Senior Citizens through our Happy Hearts ministry. Bible studies are conducted for Men, Women, Middle and High School students as well as Bible centered programs for kindergarten through 5th grade.
One of the most exciting programs is our Upstream youth program for young people in 6th through 12th grades. They meet every Wednesday night to enjoy food, fun and worship. On that night, the youth room is filled with young people who have a desire to grow closer to Jesus.
Marsh Swamp has always had an outstanding music program and that tradition continues today with music programs from kindergarten through adults. The music inspires us all to have a deeper relationship with Christ.
