Dr. Carol Odegaard was born in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in Ellenwood (Clayton County), Georgia.  She graduated from Morrow High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Brenau Women's College located in Gainesville, Georgia.   She then attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia where she earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree.  She completed her Residency training at the Emory University Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, and served as Chief Resident for the Emory Family Practice Residency program.  Dr. Odegaard is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Diplomate with the American Board of Family Medicine. She served as a Clinical Instructor at the Emory University School of Medicine for several years.
