Felix Y. Horng, MD


Dr. Horng originally hails from Chicago and was drawn to medicine because of its unique combination of cutting-edge science and human service. He is proud to serve as a physician because he is able to impact people's lives during their greatest time of need. Dr. Horng places the focus on his patients by emphasizing the importance of patient education. According to Dr. Horng, “I enjoy serving as an educator and believe that patient advocacy and empowerment are the keys to long-term health. I value the trust my patients place in me and enjoy following them throughout their journey.” Dr. Horng attended medical school at the University of Illinois, Chicago and completed his residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he served as the Chief Resident. In 2000, Dr. Horng joined the UCLA faculty and served in various roles, including Assistant Clinical Professor and Associate Chairperson at the Primary Care College. Most recently, he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Dr. Horng’s has worked extensively in the areas of primary care, urgent care, occupational injuries, and ergonomics. In 2007, he founded Woodbury Medical Group where he developed a successful, patient-centric practice focused on improving accessibility. He has served on various leadership committees with both Hoag and Greater Newport Physicians. During his time away from the office, Dr. Horng is an avid musician and singer and enjoys coaching little league. As a life-long, die-hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan he remains loyal to his Chicago roots.
