Dr. Juan Garisto is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine as well as an Uro-Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon within the NYP-Brooklyn Campus. Dr. Garisto completed his Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at University of Toronto Princess Margaret Hospital (2015-2017). He continued his training in minimally invasive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (2017-2020). He had the opportunity to be part of the surgical team that performed the first single port robotic urology procedure in the United States. With a practice focused on minimally invasive treatment for urologic cancers, Dr. Garisto is the author of over 100 peer reviewed publications and several surgical book chapters. Dr. Garisto’s research focuses on active surveillance for prostate cancer, orthotopic bladder cancer models, and adjuvant immunotherapy for urologic malignancies. Dr. Garisto will be seeing patients at the NYP-Brooklyn Campus and is taking on the role of NYP- Brooklyn Site Director for Urologic Oncology.
