My mom was in health care all my life and I got to spend time with the physician she worked with. I shadowed in the OR as well as in clinic and I really enjoyed my time there. I've always been interested in pregnancy and caring for women. During medical school, I did my first OB rotation, and loved it. Pregnancy is a time that can be scary, but it also can be an exciting time in a woman's life. I think patients need a provider that's going to listen and provide the knowledge they need to make the best decisions for their health care during their pregnancy. I also have a big interest in caring for adolescent patients. I think the first interaction a patient has with a gynecology provider is very important. It sets the foundation for how they're going to look at their health care for the rest of their lives. The most gratifying part of practicing medicine, for me, is delivering babies. It's such a fun time to be a part of your patients? lives and a blessing.
