Dr. Simpson earned her bachelor's degree from University of Michigan, her Masters in Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University and her medical degree Cum Laude from Georgetown University. She completed two residencies one in Internal Medicine and the other in Pediatrics from UCLA.
