Dr. Cerejo is an interventional neurologist with fellowship training in endovascular treatment of blood vessel disorders of the brain, neck, and spine. He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of ischemic stroke, TIA, and intracerebral hemorrhage. Specific conditions include intracranial aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, carotid-cavernous fistula, epistaxis, carotid artery and vertebral artery dissections, carotid artery and intracranial stenosis or blockage, dural arteriovenous fistula, spinal cord malformations, transient ischemic attack (TIA), and vertebral artery stenosis and blockage. His expertise includes acute stroke therapy, cerebral and spinal angiography, endovascular aneurysm treatment (coiling and flow-diversion), pre-operative tumor embolization, stenting, and vascular malformation embolization. Dr. Cerejo completed his residency in neurology, followed by fellowships in vascular neurology and endovascular surgical neuroradiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a subspecialty certificate in vascular neurology, Dr. Cerejo is co-director of endovascular services at the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Cerebrovascular Center. He is a member of American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, American Academy of Neurology, Association of Indian Neurologists in America, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, and Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. Dr. Cerejo is a former blogger for Stroke, a journal of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. His current research focuses on mild acute ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion. Dr. Cerejo has medical privileges at Allegheny General Hospital.
