Dr. Sarah Lomas is a general surgeon at The University of Vermont Medical Center. She cares for patients in both Burlington and Berlin. Dr. Lomas is also an assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. She earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2009 and completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center from 2009-2015.As a general surgeon, Dr. Lomas offers a wide range of surgical treatment services. Her areas of expertise include breast cancer, benign breast lesions, colon cancer, colon resection for diverticulitis, colorectal complaints (e.g., hemorrhoids), acute abdominal pathologies, colonoscopy, gallbladders, hernias (groin and abdominal), skin lesions and varicose veins.Dr. Lomas wants her patients to feel heard and understood, and she enjoys working with patients and their families to arrive at a surgical decision together.
