A free, bilingual performance by researcher and musician Jeanne Lemoine

After the crowds of Festival International subside, you may be craving a more intimate musical experience. Join us for this traditional music performance with Jeanne Lemoine, a musician and researcher who has been frequenting our archives for the past few months.

This is a bilingual event, open to all who love French music, language, and culture, and learning about its intersections with Louisiana culture.

Jeanne plays for dances and concerts, as a solo artist, and in the bands Horvâ, Lemoine/Couchoux, Paul Capic & Mama Zurka, and Youpë. She also teaches diatonic accordion and Breton music.

Hailing from the northeastern part of Britanny, Jeanne has been dancing and singing traditional music since she was seven years old.

There is limited parking in our Johnston Street lot, and at Martin Hall Circle, across the street from the Roy House. There are Park Mobile lots along University Avenue, which are walking distance from the Roy House.
